Golden Age of Piracy - Chapter Decoration

Background

In their earliest histories both the Province of South Carolina as well as its neighbor Province of North Carolina were reliant on piracy for their economy and security. Some of the greatest pirates in the Golden Age of Piracy have lived and died in the port of Charles Town including Anne Bonny and Stede Bonnet. It was also the site of the famous Blockade of Charles Town where the notorious Edward 'Blackbeard' Teach blockaded the port in exchange for medical supplies.
